Prof. Dr. med. Dr. rer. nat. Felix Balzer
Felix Balzer received his medical degree in 2009 and his master’s degree in Computer Science in 2012. He conducted his MD thesis at the Center for Medical Biometry and Medical Informatics at the University of Freiburg on automated identification of personally-identifying information in medical records. In April 2009, he became research associate at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and resident at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine. At the Charité’s Department for Curriculum Management, he headed the development of a web-based application for medical degree programmes, LOOOP (Learning Opportunities, Objectives and Outcome Platform), from 2010 until 2013. In 2015, he received the venia legendi for experimental anaesthesiology at Charité. Felix joined the working group of Prof. Pinkwart in May 2014 as an external PhD student. His computer science research focuses on the empirical evaluation of the before mentioned platform. He successfully defended his PhD dissertation in december 2016. Publications: here |
