PhD position in process-oriented systems/event processing

The Department of Computer Science (https://www.informatik.hu-berlin.de/en) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU) invites applications for a fully funded, full-time PhD/researcher position in the Process-Driven Architectures research group. 
We are looking for talented and highly motivated computer scientists (or people with a related background) interested in the design and analysis of event-processing systems that monitor and control the execution of processes (e.g., in logistics or the health sector). The research work will focus on the integration of formal methods for process modelling and event processing and the application of process knowledge for quantitative analysis and optimisation of event-processing systems. We expect
- A master’s / diploma degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience or specialization in software engineering or databases 
- Good programming skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills, fluent English in reading and writing
- Enthusiasm for scientific work and publishing research papers
- A high degree of commitment, self-guidance, flexibility, and capacity for teamwork
- German language skills are a plus
