Michael Rücker hat im Frühjar 2014 seinen Abschluss als Master of Education an der Humboldt-Universität gemacht. Seine Unterrichtsfächer sind Informatik und Englisch.

Seit Juni 2014 arbeitet er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Pinkwart. Er forscht zu Wahrnehmungen und Konzeptionen von Schüler/innen über informatische Systeme. Unter anderem befasst er sich mit den Fragen, wie Schüler/innen überhaupt informatische von nicht-informatischen Systemen unterscheiden und welche Rolle deartige Vorstellungen im Wissenstransfer von der Schule in den Alltag spielen.
