Ahmed Hassan received his Master's Degree in Software Engineering from UET Peshawar Pakistan in August 2015. His thesis title was "Multi-touch collaborative gesture recognition based user interfaces as behavioral interventions for children with an autism spectrum disorder". He was a lecturer at the Software Engineering Department of UET Peshawar (Mardan Campus) and University of Malakand, Pakistan. He joined the research group of Prof. Pinkwart in October 2017 on a DAAD scholarship for Ph.D. He is currently doing research in the area of Serious Games for Fostering the Social Behavior of Children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this regard, he has made a collaboration with Prof. Isabel Dziobek, Department of Psychology to develop a multi-player serious mobile game named "Zirkus Empathico 2.0" to improve the emotional intelligence of children with ASD.
