Vortag: Privacy-aware Query Processing in Dynamic SensorNetworks

Abstrakt:

Smart environments generate large amounts of data by various sensors. The intentions and future activities of the users are calculated from this information in order to control the environment according to the user's needs. In many cases, more information is collected than is necessary to fulfil the task of the smart environment.

Within the framework of the long-term project PArADISE, concepts and algorithms for privacy-aware processing of sensitive sensor and context information in smart environments are being developed. In my presentation I will focus on the three core concepts

• Development of a privacy compliant query processor,
• Recognition of identifying information in high-dimensional data and
• Data minimization through query transformations for local data analysis.

The focus will be on automated query transformation, where the collected data is reduced as soon as possible at the sensorlevel by applying selection and aggregation.
