This talk presents the core research of my doctoral dissertation at HU Berlin. The study investigates how VR interaction techniques affect user efficiency and cognitive effort, with a focus on autistic participants. Four VR interaction techniques are compared (Teleport vs. Step locomotion; Hand-tracking vs. Controller selection) using a multi-method framework integrating EEG (alpha/theta activity), behavioral performance, and user preferences. The aim is to share the main findings and gather constructive feedback before dissertation submission.
