General Aim

Robot-Soccer is a big challenge for both, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. It provides a test area for the state of the art in technology and science. Success in this area may yield solutions to problems in a variety of fields.

The international competitions of RoboCup encourage the comparison and exchange of creative ideas. They are organized by the RoboCup Federation and are supported by the national committees.

The idea of Robot-Soccer also provides good starting points for education and practical training of students at the university.

Information on RoboCup

The website of the RoboCup Federation provides the most important information on RoboCup (General Information, current and past events, regulations of the different leagues, software, publications, contacts).

Some images generated by the 3D visualization group and an MPEG-Movie (5MB) may give you a visual impression of the simulation league. Please note that the official visualization of the simulation league is still two-dimensional.

Meetings of the German National Comitee RoboCup

The meetings of the German National Committee are at irregular intervals.
