My main research interests are behavior control and decision making in complex multi-agent and robotic systems.
One important question in this context is how to integrate the needed deliberative and reactive subsystems into a comprehensive architecture.
In addition to the development of proper architectural models my practical work as leader of the Agent Team Humboldt also covers behavior modeling and specification, case-based reasoning for decision support and reinforcement learning methods for problems in high-dimensional state/action spaces.
